Job Title: Team Co-ordinator


Salary: £35,000 / £18 p/hr


Contract Type: Full-Time Temporary, minimum 3 months with opportunity to apply for permanent role


Location: Hull City Centre, 4 days working in the office and 1 day work from home



We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Coordinator / Administrator to work within a newly formed team within the public sector. As this is a brand new team you will be to have an impact on the long term structure and goals of the team and implement new processes and policies on behalf of the organisation.



Role Purpose


The Team Coordinator will provide high-level administrative and organisational support to a team of Senior Managers. The role requires professionalism, political awareness, and the ability to manage a dynamic and fast-moving workload. You will also be a key point of coordination between the senior leaders, elected officials, and external partners.



Key Responsibilities



  • Manage diaries, correspondence, and communications with professionalism and discretion.

  • Arrange and coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring efficient planning and briefing materials are prepared.

  • Draft, proofread, and coordinate responses to correspondence, reports, presentations and briefings.

  • Liaise with senior stakeholders including Government departments, local authorities, business leaders, and elected members.

  • Organise travel, accommodation and logistical arrangements.

  • Order office equipment, stationary and catering where required.

  • Liaising with IT and technical support with any IT related issues.

  • Maintain confidentiality and operate with integrity and sound judgement at all times.

  • Contribute to the smooth running of the office and support broader operational processes where required.


Person Specification


Essential:



  • Experience in a similar role supporting senior management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively.

  • Discretion, tact and political sensitivity in handling confidential and sensitive information.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern administrative systems.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


Desirable:



  • Experience within local government or similar public sector body.

  • Understanding of the local and national policy landscape.
