Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Team Administrator to provide diary, travel, training coordination and reporting support within the Transformation and Major Projects function, reporting to the Director.

This permanent, hybrid role can be based from Wokingham or Warwick, with flexible hours; strong admin, communication and data skills required; experience with senior stakeholders preferred; UK work eligibility essential.

  • Experience in collating, analysing and reporting on data.
  • Strong organisation, coordination and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Providing diary support for the Director, including meetings, travel and accommodation bookings.
  • Co-ordinating training and CPD across the function to ensure on-time completion.
  • Logging queries and coordinating with teams to meet KPIs.
  • Co-ordinating and project managing events and ad-hoc projects.
  • Building relationships across teams to enable cross-team collaboration.
  • Building relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Providing ad-hoc support for issues, queries and projects as required.

About The Role

The Director of Transformation and Major Projects is looking for a Team Administrator as a permanent position.

The Director of Transformation and Major Projects is looking for a Team Administrator as a permanent position. The Team Administrator will report to the Director of Transformation and Major Projects, working closely with the senior leadership team. The Team Administrator role will involve various coordination, administration, communication and reporting activities to enhance the effective and efficient operation of the broader function. These roles can be based from Wokingham or Warwick we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full-time and part-time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Providing diary support for the Director, including setting up meetings/travel/booking accommodation and international trips
  • Co-ordinating training, including e-learning courses and Continuing Professional Development training, across the function, ensuring that all team members have completed their training on time
  • Managing the logging of queries and co-ordinating with the relevant individuals/teams to ensure effective resolution and the meeting of key performance indicators
  • Co-ordinating and project managing events and ad-hoc projects within the team as requested, including functional off-site events
  • Building good relationships across all teams to facilitate cross-team working and collaboration
  • Building good relationships with external stakeholders
  • Undertaking other ad-hoc support with issues/queries/projects from within the team or from business and external stakeholders from time to time as required

About You
  • Experience of working in a similar environment
  • Experience of liaising with senior members of staff both internally and externally
  • Experience in collating, analysing and reporting on data
  • Strong organisation, co-ordination and administrative skills
  • Has good communication and stakeholder management skills

And for someone who is proficient in working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
