- Willingness to participate in training, supervision, and performance management.
- Awareness of and adherence to safeguarding procedures, with participation in training as appropriate.
Main Duties:
- Support and uphold the school's vision and values.
- Work with small groups or individuals under the guidance of a teacher and supervision of a deputy headteacher.
- Provide regular feedback on children’s progress and maintain records.
- Meet children’s pastoral needs.
- Assist in educational visits and display work under teacher guidance.
- Maintain health and safety standards, including risk assessments.
- Follow child protection procedures and report concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Supervise classroom and outdoor activities.
- Support children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs, to learn effectively and independently.
- Implement interventions for individuals and small groups.
- Work with children on targets in reading, writing, and maths.
- Support emotional development and resilience.
- Assist with behavior management in line with school policies.
- Support children at the beginning/end of the day and during breaks.
- Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety policies, reporting concerns as necessary.
- Help maintain the learning environment and resources.
- Promote equal opportunities and value diversity.
- Support school site management, including kitchen support, fire safety, and maintaining a COVID-safe environment.
