Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant (KS2) in Leeds

Career Teachers Leeds is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary schools within the Northern Ambition Academies Trust. If you are interested in working with children aged 7-11 years (KS2), we invite you to apply today!

Responsibilities:

1. Support children aged 7-11 in classroom activities.
2. Work full-time or part-time hours, typically between 8 am and 4 pm.
3. Assist other staff members within the setting.
4. Help implement daily routines.
5. Support children requiring 1:1 assistance.
6. Provide support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).

Qualifications:

Desirable but not essential:

• 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Mathematics.
• Level 3 qualification in education.
• Level 2 Award in Support Work.
• Level 2 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant.
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
• Experience with phonics, supporting children in reading and writing.
