Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting three dedicated Teaching Assistants for an Alternative Provision setting on the Wirral, with a September start. You will support students with social, emotional and behavioral needs, building trusting relationships in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.

Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver engaging learning and intervention sessions, creating a calm, structured classroom and promoting positive behaviour and academic progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an Alternative Provision (AP) or PRU setting.
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
  • Calm, proactive, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong relationship-building with young people.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs in and out of the classroom.
  • Deliver engaging learning and intervention sessions with teachers and pastoral staff.
  • Help create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.

Teaching Assistants (3 Roles Available) Alternative Provision September Start Wirral

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly supportive Alternative Provision setting on the Wirral, seeking three dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team this September.

The Role
  • Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs both in and out of the classroom.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver engaging learning and intervention sessions.
  • Help create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to achieve both academically and personally.
We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working within an Alternative Provision (AP), Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or a similar specialist setting.
  • Experience managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
  • A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach.
  • Someone who remains calm under pressure and can build strong relationships with young people.
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
