Job summary

St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School is seeking a dedicated helper to support teaching staff and assist pupils across the Foundation age range. The role involves following guidance, preparing resources, and helping to keep pupils on task within the classroom and beyond.

You will need excellent literacy and numeracy skills, good interpersonal abilities, and a flexible, team-oriented approach to support learning and respond to children's needs.

About the Role

To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task.
