Job summary

Laleham Gap School invites applications for Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated team supporting pupils aged 4–18 with SEND. Candidates should have GCSEs at C in English and Maths or equivalent, with patience and resilience to work in a dynamic, inclusive setting.

The role is 32.75 hours per week, term time only plus inset days, with a pro-rata salary of £26,168.00 plus SEN allowance (£1,541.40 pro-rata). Commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Laleham Gap School is looking for experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our wonderful, dedicated and highly effective team. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children with SEND. This role can be challenging but also incredibly rewarding therefore the ideal candidate must possess patience and resilience. Ideally we are looking for candidates who have specific interests in:

• Experience of working with children with autism, speech language and communication difficulties as well as challenging behaviour, Laleham Gap is a Communication and Interaction Special School. We have pupils aged from 4 to 18 years of age. Most of our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism. All pupils have an EHCP. Most pupils will achieve some GCSEs or equivalent at age 16.
