Job summary

Langley Park School for Boys is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support Department. You will support students with SEND, assisting with classroom activities and ICT-enabled learning in a large, friendly school community.

The role offers induction, training and ongoing CPD opportunities within a supportive environment, plus benefits including on-site facilities and parking. Term-time only: 25 hours weekly, NJC Scale 2, Point 3.

Qualifications

  • GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, including ASD or social communication.
  • Able to communicate effectively and solve problems in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEND in lessons and classroom activities.
  • Use ICT and assistive technology to aid learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers and Learning Support staff.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our large and friendly Learning Support Department. The Learning Support Department comprises of a large team of dedicated staff who work with students with a wide range of special educational needs. The school has a designated specialist provision, The Sunil Centre, for children on the autistic spectrum so would welcome any experience in this area but it is not essential as training will be provided.
