Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking flexible part-time Teaching Assistants to join our team for local primary schools in Chesterfield and surrounding areas. You could pick up day-to-day supply work, longer placements, or part-time roles around other commitments.

We welcome candidates with previous school experience, especially in primary education and SEND support. A TA qualification is advantageous but not essential if you have strong school-based experience.

• Pick up day-to-day supply work when you are available
• Take on a longer-term placement in one school
• Work part-time around other commitments

• Gain experience across different schools, year groups and settings

As a TA, you'll play an important role in helping pupils get the most from their time in school. Depending on the placement, this could involve classroom support, working with individuals or small groups, or providing additional support to pupils with SEND.

Who are we looking for?

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
• Ideally, experience as a TA within a primary school
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• A genuine interest in helping children learn and develop
• The confidence to work alongside teachers and other school staff
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach
• Good communication skills and a reliable attitude
