Job summary

Educate Group is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to join our growing team in Congleton and surrounding areas. You will support teachers, work with pupils, and contribute to a positive learning environment across multiple schools.

Ideal candidates have experience with children, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work various days. DBS on update service or willingness to apply is desirable. Flexible work and ongoing consultant support are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons alongside the classroom teacher.
  • Prepare and organise classroom materials.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Follow school policies and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Offer feedback on pupil progress.

Duties:
  • Supporting the classroom teacher deliver engaging lessons
  • Support the teacher in preparing classroom materials
  • Work one to one with small groups
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Follow school procedures and policies
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress
Requirements of a teaching assistant:
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Minimum 3 days a week
  • Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) - desirable but not essential
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage behaviour effectively
