Job summary

Glow Educate is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class with PMLD in Wiltshire. This part-time role runs three days per week from September 2026, with temp-to-permanent potential.

You will work with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning, assist with personal care when required, and help create a calm, inclusive classroom that encourages communication and independence.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children throughout the school day in classroom and sensory-based activities
• Delivering individual and small-group support tailored to learning and communication needs
• Assisting pupils to access personalised learning programmes
• Encouraging interaction, confidence and emotional wellbeing
• Supporting sensory play, outdoor exploration and practical learning experiences
• Providing personal care where required, including toileting and changing
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to ensure pupils receive consistent, high-quality support
