Teaching Assistant for Year 2 Class at North Chesterfield Primary School

Position: Teaching Assistant (Year 2)
Hours: Part Time, 4 days a week (Tuesday to Friday)
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a Year 2 class. The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of the curriculum, ensuring that each child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the class teacher in delivering the Year 2 curriculum.
• Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom activities and materials.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting positive behaviour.
• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Participate in school activities and events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ideally, hold a Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2 or above.
• Must have a DBS registered to the Update Service before commencing work.
• Experience in a similar role within a primary school setting is desirable.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 2 curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
