Job summary

Lethbridge Primary School in Swindon is seeking an experienced Upper KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support pupils with engaging activities, monitor progress and help create stimulating displays.

The role emphasises building warm relationships, excellent communication, and organisational skills to support interventions, assessments, and learning evidence. There is an optional MDSA slot of 2.5 hours weekly.

Job description

We wish to appoint an experienced upper KS2 Teaching Assistant to join us here at Lethbridge Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team and provide excellent care and education for our pupils.

The successful candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for working with children, be creative, dedicated and have a positive attitude to joining a forward-thinking school.

You must be able to demonstrate that you can build excellent relationships, want to make a difference to all children and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Your role will include contributing to the delivery and monitoring of interventions for individuals and small groups, supporting assessments and evidencing learning, working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources plus building positive relationships with the children by being an approachable, caring and supportive role model.

There is also an option to join the MDSA team for 2.5hours a week if desired.
