Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a Passionate Teaching and Learning Assistant at Level 2 + SEN (Secondary) to support pupils aged 11-16 in a 3-16 all-age academy. This permanent role is 30.25 hours per week, term time plus one day, with a grade SCP 6-11 (£25,989 - £28,142) plus SEN allowance (£1,539).

Actual salary for dedicated roles is enhanced by SEN allowances. The post involves supervising groups and individuals, supporting learning, and promoting positive behaviour.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:

• To work with and supervise individuals and groups of students under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs, supporting target setting for students and enabling access to learning for all students.
• Assisting in managing students' sometimes significant and challenging behaviour through the use of a range of strategies and techniques.
