The Friary School, part of Primitas Learning Partnership, is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCo. The role focuses on helping learners overcome barriers, promoting positive behaviour and tracking progress.

You must provide eligibility to work in the UK and references. Hours are 08:10–15:10, Monday to Friday, term time (38 weeks) plus 5 inset days, with a start date in November 2026.

TEACHING ASSISTANT

Salary: Grade 5 SCP 7-9, FTE £27,274 - £28,153, Actual Pro Rata Salary £ 20,699.23 - £21,366.33

Hours of work: To be worked 08:10am – 15:10pm Monday to Friday, Term Time.

Numbers of hours is subject to discussions at interview but will be no more than 32.5 hours per week

Contract: Term Time – 38 weeks per year plus 5 inset days (39 Weeks), Permanent

Responsible to: SENDCo – Deputy Headteacher

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCo, to provide support in the care of pupil(s) and their needs who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning, help promote positive behaviour and pupil progress. A strong team player, they will contribute to the school while supporting an inclusive environment where all pupils can achieve and thrive.
