Job summary

The Holmesdale School within Swale Academies Trust invites applications for a Teaching Assistant. The role supports teachers, enabling pupils to access learning, both in small groups and one-to-one.

The successful candidate will help pupils follow instructions, foster inclusion and contribute to a positive classroom environment. Working hours are 30 hours per week during term time (39 weeks) with 5 staff development days.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a school setting or similar environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers to support teaching and learning.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and provide inclusion.
• Help pupils understand instructions and develop independent learning skills.
