About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and pastoral teams to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will play a crucial role in helping students remain engaged, confident, and successful in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and encourage student participation and progress.
• Support students with additional needs as directed.
• Help maintain classroom order and ensure the safety and well-being of pupils.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in education or with children is desirable but not essential—training and guidance provided.
• A genuine interest in working with children or young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to follow the teacher's instructions and school policies consistently.
• Resilience, adaptability, and a team-oriented attitude.
• University students are also encouraged to apply, especially those considering a career in education or child development.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
