Salary: £12.82 per hour

GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicatedPrimary Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Gosport. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those passionate about helping children thrive academically and personally within vibrant and welcoming school communities.

As aPrimary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the delivery of high-quality education to pupils across various year groups. Your role will involve providing individual and group assistance, fostering positive relationships with students, and helping to maintain an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, helping them meet their academic targets.
• Support children's emotional, social, and behavioural development, promoting a positive learning environment.
• Prepare learning materials, set up classroom activities, and support the day-to-day running of the classroom.
• Monitor and record pupils’ progress, offering feedback to teachers to inform planning and intervention strategies.
• Help manage behaviour effectively and consistently uphold school behaviour policies.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure all children receive a high standard of education and care.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role within a primary school setting.
• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of young learners.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum and key educational strategies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to show initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Have anupdated CVand anenhanced DBSregistered to theupdate service(or be willing to apply for one).
