Job summary

Outwood Academy Haydock is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and providing essential academic and welfare support to individuals and small groups.

You will work with students to assist progress, support SEND and EAL learners, and help develop individual plans. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential in the school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school environment or with children/young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and assist with planned learning activities.
• Support intervention programs for SEND and EAL students.
• Assist in developing individualised student plans and tracking progress.
• Help with welfare tasks, supervision on visits, and invigilation of exams.
