Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are partnering with a local SEN school in Chorley to recruit a Teaching Assistant for Special Provision, supporting pupils aged 4-19 with diverse SEND needs across daily activities.

You will assist with communication strategies, help maintain a safe, nurturing environment, track progress, and collaborate with teachers, therapists and families to empower pupils with essential life skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous background supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Attributes: High emotional resilience, empathy, patience, and a calm, flexible approach.
• Compliance: Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to process one immediately) and be available to start straight away.

• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to empower pupils with key life skills.
