Job summary

AWD online seeks a Special Needs Assistant for a full-time temporary role in Hedge End. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential.
• Calm, flexible and able to respond effectively to changing situations.
• Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support an individual pupil with their learning and wellbeing.
• Help pupils remain engaged in classroom activities.
• Encourage engagement using positive behaviour management strategies.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
