Job summary

A local education recruitment agency is looking for a one-to-one SEN Primary Teaching Assistant in Melton Mowbray. You will provide support to a pupil with special educational needs, assisting with both social and academic challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various disabilities and a caring attitude. This full-time role starts in November or December 2025.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant or LSP.
  • Experience working with various special needs, including Autism and ADHD.
  • Enthusiastic, caring, resilient, and proactive.

Responsibilities

  • Support a pupil on a one-to-one basis throughout the day.
  • Help the pupil enjoy their time in school.
  • Work with the SENCo to deliver high-quality learning.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a pupil on a one-to-one basis throughout the day, staying on task and assisting with behaviour needs.
  • Help the pupil enjoy their time in school and provide social and academic support.
  • Work with the SENCo to deliver high quality learning and pastoral care.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Prior experience as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant or LSP.
  • Experience working with pupils with Autism, ADHD, Asperger’s, Speech and Language, Global Delay, Learning Disabilities and mental health issues.
  • Enthusiastic, caring, resilient and proactive.
  • Full-time, term-time work – Starts November or December 2025.
