Job summary

Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Voluntary Academy in Rotherham is seeking two Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND, SEMH and communication needs, under the direction of teaching staff to remove barriers to learning and promote wellbeing.

This 30.5-hour part-time role runs on a temporary contract until 31 August 2027 (term-time weeks). A DBS check is required; start date ASAP, with responsibilities aligned to the Catholic values of the academy.

Qualifications

• To support pupils with SEND, SEMH, communication and interaction, learning and pastoral needs to access education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, communication and interaction to access education.
• Work under teaching and inclusion staff to provide targeted support for individual pupils and groups.
• Promote emotional wellbeing and positive engagement across the school.
• Follow safeguarding policies including DBS disclosure when required.
