Job summary

Albrighton Primary School & Nursery in Wolverhampton is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school, including targeted interventions for those with additional needs. You will work under the SENDCo and phase leaders to assist with delivering small-group and in-class support, helping pupils access the curriculum and progress academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to support children in both whole-class and small-group settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to inclusion and supporting all pupils to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in classroom activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and develop key skills.
• Deliver planned intervention programmes under guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Encourage pupils to become independent learners and develop confidence in their abilities.
• Adapt support strategies to meet varied abilities and learning needs.
