Humberston Academy is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work with the Quality of Education Team to support teachers’ strategies and help all students access a knowledge-rich curriculum.

The role involves supporting SENCO responsibilities and collaborating with families and external agencies where needed. This permanent post is 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with a focus on personal, social and educational development as well as day-to-day

• Able to communicate effectively with students and parents to represent the Academy positively.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to work within a team.
• Willingness to engage in safeguarding and professional development.

Responsabilidades

• Develop an in depth understanding of the specific needs of individual and groups of student(s).
• Guide, support and empower students to develop personal, emotional and social development.
• Assist with routine administrative tasks and basic IT skills.
• Observe and record student progress, providing reports to inform assessment.
• Supervise students in dining, playground and general areas to maintain wellbeing and safety.
• Support learning activities and differentiate methods to meet identified needs.
• Attend training courses to support the Academy and professional development.
