Teaching Assistant (Resource Base)
Long-term teachers are working with a fantastic multi-academy trust based in Salisbury, who are seeking a passionate, confident teaching assistant to join their resource base. The school is a mainstream environment, but they have opened a resource base to support a small number of students with SEN.

About the role:
There are up to 10 students in the resource base, allowing you to build rapport with each student, becoming a positive role model and mentor. While class teachers will plan, deliver, and mark lessons, you will support activity preparation and have the opportunity to be creative when devising activities. You will also lead small group interventions and 1:1 support, so confidence, assertiveness, and patience are essential to manage the environment effectively.
The students' key needs include learning, social, emotional, and mental health needs, along with challenging behaviour. Prior experience supporting these needs is essential to assess and provide appropriate support.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, during term time only, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The role commences as soon as possible, with employment by the school, contracted for 38 weeks per year.
