Position Details
  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Salary: £90 - £120 per day, dependent on experience
  • Hours: Full-Time, 8.30am – 4pm
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Hartcliffe, Bristol (BS13), easily accessible by public transport

An excellent SEN school in Hartcliffe, Bristol is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join immediately. You will work 1:1 with a child, supporting numeracy and literacy within Key Stage 1 and 2, ensuring they meet learning objectives for each lesson. The children have diverse social, emotional, and mental health needs, communication difficulties (including autistic spectrum conditions, Asperger’s Syndrome, speech, language, and communication needs), ADHD, and complex learning needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, providing a great opportunity to learn and develop your career in SEN education.

Candidate Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS Check (assistance available)
  • Graduate in a relevant field such as psychology or criminology, or have a strong educational background (Maths and English at GCSE – minimum grade 4/C or equivalent), plus prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Compassionate, patient, and genuinely interested in SEN and supporting children's education
