Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Daily Rate: £89.38 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Job Overview

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Brecon.

This opportunity is based at a SEN school that specialises in working with pupils who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN). We are looking for individuals who can offer tailored support to help students stay engaged, focused, and achieve their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting students with varying abilities, especially those who may become easily distracted, to stay focused and engaged in lessons.
  • Adapting to the individual needs of each pupil, guided by their Individual Development Plans (IDPs)—created in collaboration with their families.
  • Upholding the school’s core values: SHINE – Successful, Healthy Individuals Nurturing Excellence.
  • Assisting in delivering a multi-sensory curriculum that’s interactive, inclusive, and grounded in real-world learning experiences—fostering resilience and personal growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children is essential; experience supporting pupils with ALN is highly desirable.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to build trusting relationships with young learners.
  • A genuine passion for helping children with diverse educational needs succeed both academically and personally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
