Job summary

St. Anthony’s School in Chichester is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-16 with complex learning needs. The role is 30 hours per week, term time only plus one INSET week, with an actual salary of £17,871 per year.

Interviews are scheduled for 06/10/2026, and the contract is permanent. The successful candidate will work in the Secondary Department, supporting students in class, small groups and one-to-one settings, with an emphasis on personalised learning and safeguarding.

Qualifications

Currently the school is one of the lead schools in ‘Novio’ which is part of the West Sussex SEN hub initiative supporting pupils with SEND in mainstream education.

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistants to support students’ learning. The Teaching Assistant will work alongside staff in the Secondary Department to support pupils with complex needs in the classroom, in small groups and on an individual basis. An interest and/or experience in working with Autism would be desirable. They will also undertake a range of administrative tasks that support the teaching and learning within the school. In their application, candidates should indicate their areas of curriculum interest.
