Salary: £90–£110 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

We’re recruiting Secondary Teaching Assistants for several supportive schools in Wakefield. These full-time roles start in September and are ideal for anyone passionate about education—whether you’re an experienced TA or just starting out.
Providing 1:1 or small group support in the classroom
Helping students stay focused, access learning, and build confidence
Assisting with behaviour management and lesson prep
Working closely with teachers and SENCOs across different subjects
A calm, encouraging presence who connects well with young people
Previous school experience or relevant background in youth work, mentoring or SEND (not essential)
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Someone who’s reliable, adaptable, and ready to learn on the job

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
