Job summary

PK Education Limited is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class at a primary school in Morpeth. You will help children settle into school life and develop early learning skills.

Responsibilities include supporting the class teacher with EYFS activities, working with children individually and in small groups, supporting phonics and literacy, and helping maintain a safe, inclusive classroom. DBS and safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in an Early Years or Reception setting.
• Ideally holds a relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification.
• Patient, reliable and enthusiastic about helping young children learn.
• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children in an Early Years or Reception setting.

• Ideally holds a relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification.

• Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

You will need an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and safeguarding checks.
