Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leeds on a long-term basis starting in September. You will support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, collaborate with the class teacher, and help deliver engaging activities across the curriculum.

The role emphasizes supporting literacy and numeracy, developing positive behaviours, and assisting children with additional needs.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working with children in a school or education setting.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience supporting SEND pupils is advantageous.
  • Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
