Job summary

Twynham Learning’s Stourfield Infant School in Christchurch is seeking a Teaching Assistant with midday supervision duties. The fixed-term post runs until 22 July 2027, part-time 19.5 hours across 3 days, term-time plus training days.

You will support individual children and small groups, assist with midday supervision, and uphold safeguarding policies. The role offers on-site parking, pension, CPD, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 GCSEs A-C (9-4), including Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills with children, parents and staff.
• Flexible and proactive with good initiative and teamwork.
• Awareness of health and safety, safeguarding, and SEN policies.

Responsibilities

• Primarily work with individual children and/or small groups to improve learning.
• Assist with midday supervision duties as part of the role.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children following school policies.
• Manage classroom activities and resources safely and effectively.
