Job summary

Ulceby St Nicholas Church of England Primary School in Ulceby is seeking a Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor Assistant (fixed term) to support teaching and pupil well‑being. You will work with pupils under supervision to boost learning and maintain a safe environment during midday break, including break-time activities and escorts on visits.

The role involves assisting with learning tasks, providing feedback to teachers, supporting social and emotional wellbeing, and helping with ICT use.

Qualifications

• Ability to support pupils with learning tasks and routines.
• Ability to work under direction of teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Support pupils to understand instructions and support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils.
• Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
• Prepare and clear up learning environment and resources, including photocopying, filing and the display and presentation of pupils’ work and contribute to maintaining a safe environment.
• Assist with break-time supervision including facilitating games and activities.
• Escort pupils on educational visits and support pupils using ICT.
• Invigilate exams and tests and assist pupils with eating, dressing and hygiene as required.
