Job summary

London South East Academies Trust is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community in Orpington. This role includes additional midday supervision duties and is term-time only, with hours from 8.30am to 3.30pm and an extra hour on Thursdays, plus a 30-minute lunch break.

You will work closely with teachers and the inclusion team to support pupils across the curriculum, including children with SEND, providing individual and small-group support to help pupils

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assisting with the implementation of learning programmes and intervention activities.
• Supporting the academic, social and emotional development of children.
• Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour throughout the school.
• Preparing and adapting learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Supporting children with SEND and helping to implement personalised targets and support plans.
• Assisting with classroom organisation, displays and administration.
• Supporting pupils during lunchtimes and on educational visits where required.
• Supporting with lunch duty one day a week
