Job summary

Randstad Education in Bishop's Stortford is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a network of East Hertfordshire schools. You will support learning in primary and secondary settings, helping with reading, writing, and numeracy.

We offer flexible full-time, part-time or ad-hoc schedules, competitive daily rates (£90-£105), weekly PAYE, and ongoing training through a dedicated education consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, sports coaching or youth work.
• Patient, empathetic and can-do approach to classroom support.
• Strong communication in English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to complete a new check).
• Candidates must reside in or near Bishop's Stortford (CM23).

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery, activity setup, and group management.
• Work 1:1 or in small interventions to boost reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
• Create an inclusive, encouraging learning environment for all students.
