Job summary

Randstad Education in Bishop's Stortford is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support learners across primary and secondary settings in East Hertfordshire. You will assist with daily lesson delivery, prepare activities, and help manage groups.

This role suits graduates or care/childcare backgrounds, with flexible full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc schedules. Competitive daily rates (£90–£105) paid weekly via PAYE, plus ongoing training and a local education consultant to support your

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children or young people in settings such as schools, nurseries, sports coaching, or youth work.
A patient, empathetic, and "can-do" approach to classroom support.
Strong communication skills with a good proficiency in English and Maths.
An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new check).
Candidates must reside in or within easy commuting distance of Bishop's Stortford (CM23).

Responsibilities

Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery, activity setup, and group management.
Work 1:1 or in small interventions with pupils to boost reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
Create an inclusive, encouraging learning environment for all students.
