Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants across Bishop's Stortford and East Hertfordshire to support pupils in primary and secondary schools. Roles include 1:1 support, small-group interventions, and assisting with reading, writing, and numeracy.

Candidates with previous experience with children or youth work are encouraged to apply. DBS check (Update Service) preferred or willingness to obtain one; roles offer flexible schedules and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, or youth work.
• Patient, empathetic, and can-do approach to classroom support.
• Strong communication skills in English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service (or willingness to obtain a new one).

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery, activity setup, and group management.
• Work 1:1 or in small interventions with pupils to boost reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
• Create an inclusive, encouraging learning environment for all students.
