Job summary

Randstad Education in Bishop's Stortford is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across East Hertfordshire schools. You will help with daily lesson delivery, prepare activities, and manage small groups or individuals to boost reading, writing and numeracy.

The role offers flexible schedules (full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc supply), local school placements, and access to ongoing professional training through a dedicated education consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people in schools, nurseries, sports coaching or youth work.
• Patient, empathetic, and can-do approach to classroom support.
• Strong communication skills in English and Maths.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to complete a new check.
• Candidates must reside in or near Bishop's Stortford (CM23).

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery, activity setup, and group management.
• Work 1:1 or in small interventions with pupils to boost reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
• Create an inclusive, encouraging learning environment for all students.
