Job summary

Ysgol Parcyrhun, Ammanford, is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join the school team on a temporary/term-time basis. The role supports learning activities and classroom assistance under the leadership of the school.

The post requires appropriate safeguarding checks; enhanced DBS and Welsh language communication is a consideration for Level 4. The appointment is subject to standard recruitment checks and salary is in the 27h20m contract at £14.70–£16.45 per hour.

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Ysgol Parcyrhun wish to appoint an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant. The applicant must be highly motivated, creative, willing to work hard, and possess the interpersonal skills needed to complement the school’s happy and conscientious teaching team.

An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.

Level 4 - You will need to be able to communicate effectively in Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
