Job summary

Acer Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support pupils aged 11-16 with Autism and SEMH needs. The role is permanent, full-time, 36 hours per week during term time plus 5 PD days, and works under teaching and senior staff to deliver learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Support access to learning across a broad and adapted curriculum
• Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and occasionally whole classes
• Support pupils to overcome barriers to learning and develop independence
• Contribute to a consistent, trauma-informed and relational approach to behaviour and engagement
• Help prepare pupils for successful transition into adulthood and greater independence
