Job summary

Peakirk cum Glinton C.E. Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support our pre-school and early years learners. The role involves acting as a keyworker, providing 1:1 support where needed and assisting with planned play and learning activities.

You will join a small, caring team within a well-resourced setting, contributing to safeguarding, health and safety requirements and the inclusive ethos of the school. A Level 3 qualification in Early Years is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Framework.
• Experience in or willingness to train in first aid, health and safety and safeguarding.
• Experience as an early years practitioner or supporting pre-school settings.

Responsibilities

• Act as keyworker for a small group of children.
• Provide 1:1 support for children with additional needs as required.
• Support the early years team and pupils in planning, play and learning activities.
• Observe and communicate child observations and assessments with families.

18 hours per week, 3 days per week

Grade F67 - £25,846 FTE, which is £10,548.88 actual per annum

Are you a compassionate and committed individual with a passion for supporting children? We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support our pupils in our pre-school. This role will involve some additional 1:1 support where necessary for children with additional needs.

Peakirk cum Glinton C.E. Primary School, is a small family school with great children and a hardworking and caring team of staff who are dedicated to the inclusion of all pupils. We operate a popular and successful pre-school as part of the school with wonderful children and experienced, supportive and dedicated staff.

Your role is to support the early years team and pupils at our happy, well-resourced and purpose built pre-school. You will act as keyworker for a small number of children, engaging them through planned play and learning and communicating your observations and assessments with families.

We are looking for an applicant to join our happy and supportive team who shares our inclusive ethos, has a child centred approach and is sensitive to the needs of pupils. The right candidate will have experience of early years and have a working knowledge of early years requirements. They will have experience of caring for children as young as 2 years of age.

As the pre school is fortunate enough to belong to Peterborough Diocese Trust and is very much part of the school you will be joining a supportive network, be supported and eventually work closely with early years lead who will support you in your role. It is our vision that the pupils and staff will benefit from the pre school and reception class settings working closely together as a cohesive early years unit.

• Experienced in or willing to train in expected legal requirements such as first aid, health and safety and safeguarding
• You must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in compliance with the Early Years Framework.
