Job summary

Kingsway Park High School in Rochdale is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 or HLTA to join the Inclusion Team. The role is based at Seacole provision, with responsibilities to support students with academic, social and emotional needs, building confidence and resilience.

The appointment is permanent, 32.5 hours per week during term time (39 weeks), and salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, HLTA status or equivalent experience.
• Experience of working with children/young people aged 11–16.
• Experience of supporting students with SEND, SEMH or additional needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Patient, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and promoting wellbeing.
• Reflective practice and commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional academic, social and emotional needs.
• Build positive relationships to help engagement and learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions appropriate to experience level.
• Contribute to inclusion and safeguarding initiatives across the provision.
• Work within Seacole specialist inclusion provision as required.
• Collaborate with staff to support whole-school inclusion and outcomes.

Salary: Actual salary £21,704.06 £26,875.46 per annum (appointment at Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience)

Kingsway Park High School is seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Inclusion Team.

Initially based within Seacole, our specialist inclusion provision, you will play a key role in supporting students who require additional academic, social and emotional support to successfully engage with school and achieve their full potential. Through positive relationships, high expectations and personalised support, you will help students build confidence, develop resilience and experience success both inside and outside the classroom.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a school that places inclusion at the heart of everything it does. Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, you will be appointed as either a Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, with opportunities to lead learning and deliver targeted interventions appropriate to your level of experience.
