Job summary

Lift Plumberow is seeking a teaching assistant to work closely with teachers to understand students' learning needs and help them achieve objectives. You will support wellbeing and create a stimulating safe learning environment where every child can thrive.

We offer pathways into Level 3/5 TA apprenticeships and Initial Teacher Training, with a focus on promoting welfare and safeguarding of children. This role supports learning for pupils across Reception to Year 6 in a vibrant school community.

Responsibilities

• Understand students' learning needs and help them access lesson content.
• Plan and assess high-quality lessons with teachers and support independent learning.
• Provide targeted interventions within defined parameters to individuals or small groups.
• Build positive relationships with students and apply behaviour policy consistently.
• Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff, SENDCO and parents to support learning.
• Help teachers prepare resources to meet diverse needs.
