Job summary

Lift Hamford is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers and help every child reach their potential. You will assist with lessons, support learning activities, and help create an inclusive, positive classroom where pupils gain confidence and independence.

We offer Level 3 and Level 5 TA apprenticeships and access to our Initial Teacher Training programme. The role involves working 20 hours or more per week, collaborating with the SENDCO, teachers and parents to monitor progress and raise

Qualifications

• GCSE maths and English at grade 4 or above.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willing to work towards one).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and empathy with a variety of students.
• Collaborative approach within the classroom.
• Resilience in challenging situations.
• Reflective mindset and growth awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support students to access the curriculum and participate in lessons.
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering high-quality lessons and assess learning.
• Help students develop independent learning skills.
• Build positive relationships and promote positive behaviours.
• Support targeted interventions with individuals or small groups.
• Collaborate with staff, SENDCO and parents to support learning.
