Job summary

Oakwood Academy is an Outstanding Specialist Arts, Technology and Sports College based in Ellesmere Park Eccles for pupils with MLD and CLD. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant as soon as possible.

Applicants should have high expectations for all students, are committed to developing their full potential, and experience with ASD/SEND is desirable. The post is permanent, term-time only, with a 6-month probationary period and a closing date of 4th September.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Literacy, numeracy and ICT skills to support learning.
• Ability to promote independence and confidence in students.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in lessons and support learning for pupils with ASD/SEND.
• Work flexibly as part of a team within term-time schedule.
• Maintain safeguarding and DBS processes as required.

Salary Grade: 10-12 / Point 10 - £27,694 (pro-rated total per annum inclusive of SNA 1)
