Job summary

Peterborough Diocese Education Trust is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant for our school in the United Kingdom. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Is confident, resilient, and dedicated.
• Has previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
• Has a good knowledge of SEN Provision.
• Has good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
• Has good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
• Has the ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
• Has a personal commitment to on-going professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities and assist the class teacher in delivering appropriately differentiated activities.
• Provide general classroom assistance, supervision and help with pupil transition between activities.
• Monitor pupil progress and offer feedback to teachers to support learning goals.
• Assist with safeguarding, behaviour management and creating a safe learning environment.
• Support pupils with SEN and adapt resources as needed for inclusive learning.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture and communicate with parents as required.
