Summary Teaching Assistant 2B CLASS & SMALL GROUP/1:1 We are seeking an enthusiastic person to work 32.50hours per week, 8.30am-3.30pm, in a flexible capacity in school. They will be a 1:1/Small group/SEND Teaching Assistant level 2B, who will predominantly support children in Year 1and move up with them. This is an opportunity to join our strong team of staff here at Moor End and to make a positive contribution to our continued success and progress. The Governing Body of Moor End Community Primary School welcomes applications from a dedicated, experienced, reliable and highly skilled teaching assistant, who has proven experience of working with pupils with social emotional and mental health needs, to complement our existing hardworking and dedicated team.

Under the general supervision and direction of the teacher you will:

  • Implement structured learning activities for classes/groups/individuals.
  • Undertake activities in order to monitor the personal social and emotional needs of children on EHCP.
  • Assist in helping a child who is dysregulated manage their emotions.
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils to promote pupil progress and attainment.
  • Assist in the devising of pupil's individual targets and their monitoring and review.
  • Support pupils as part of a planned inclusion programme.
