Job summary

Lancashire County Council's White Ash School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support our pupils with special educational needs aged 2 to 11. The role involves forming positive relationships, assisting in lessons and providing targeted support in class.

The position is 32.5 hours per week during term time plus inset days, with pay quoted on a full-time equivalent basis and pro rata adjustment. Closing date 20 October 2026, interviews 6 November 2026.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support our SEN pupils across all phases in school. The successful applicant must be able to form positive relationships with children and young people and be willing to undertake various tasks to support our SEN pupils. We are looking for someone who can work closely with the class teacher and provide individual support within the classroom. The hours are 32.5 per week term time only plus inset days

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8.45am to 3.45pm
  • Wednesdays are 8.45am to 4.30pm
  • Friday 8.45am -3pm

As the position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

This is a permanent position.
