Job summary

St Mary's CofE Primary School, Deane is seeking a teaching assistant with strong experience in primary settings. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' experience working with primary school children, including those with communication and interaction difficulties, and will be capable of delivering interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience with primary school age children or NVQ 2 or equivalent.
• Experience with children with communication and interaction difficulties.
• Knowledge about ASD and supporting diagnosed children.
• Understanding of behaviour management and preventing/challenging behaviour.
• Understanding of sensory processing difficulties and support through sensory circuits.
